Welcome
The Laboratory for Materials and Mechatronics (EA 4144) aims to bring together interdisciplinary expertise in the field of systems and materials to conduct research for the improvement or design of mechatronic systems. This research concerns include the following application areas:
Energy
Industrial production,
health
Very large instruments.
The laboratory collects an average of 90 persons including 45 research professors and 25 doctoral students. These researchers are divided in four groups of skills:
QPS: Quality of products and systems
CICS: Design Instrumentation and Control Systems
MS: Materials structures
MF: Functional Materials
These groups work in a coordinated manner to conduct interdisciplinary projects in the areas of applications but are also conducted basic research in the following scientific fields:
Materials science,
mechanical
Mechanical Engineering
instrumentation,
automatic
Industrial engineering.
Each researcher is committed to excellence in their disciplinary communities of origin allowing to have an interdisciplinary research for applications at the highest level.
Historically, the laboratory was created in 2006 by the merger of the Laboratory of Applied Mechanics and laboratory instrumentation and materials Annecy and a group from the laboratory computer information system, information processing and knowledge.
